Anthony Middle School Dress Code


Anthony Middle School students must follow the school dress code as follows:


Identification Badges (IDs): School-issued ID badges must be worn above the waist at ALL times. If students choose to change their lanyards, all lanyards must be school appropriate (to be determined by administrators). Replacement ID badges and lanyards may be purchased at a cost to the student. Students will be REQUIRED to wear their ID badges to ALL extracurricular events.


T-shirts:


Monday through Friday of every week all students MUST wear a solid t-shirt (with or without district logo) that is Red, Navy, Black. Shirts are available for purchase (as pictured below) in the middle school office.


Thursday is “College Day.” Students can choose to wear a shirt promoting a college/university (still meeting the acceptable clothing and items listed below). If students are not wearing a college/university shirt, they MUST wear a t-shirt of the acceptable colors.

Bottoms: 

Daily – Students must wear either khaki, navy blue or black pants, shorts, skirts, capris, or jeans. 


  • Jeans with holes/tears may not show any skin. Excessive holes/tears may be subject to disciplinary action.
  • No hip-huggers or stretching material.
  • Clothes must fit properly so that they are not tight (cling to the body) or baggy (no sagging) and must be worn at the waist.
  • Shorts, skorts, or skirts must be knee-length.
  • A belt may be worn. No military belts. No large or ornate belt buckles. All belts must be looped through belt loops and worn at the waist.


Unacceptable clothing and dress items (at all times):


  • Body piercing (exception: earrings in the ears). Large earrings pose a safety hazard.
  • Earrings with a point or gauges are not allowed.
  • Open-toed shoes or shoes with steel toes, taps, flip flops, or sandals (including shower shoes or slippers/Crocs).
  • Sunglasses (Indoors).
  • Bandanas, hair nets, athletic headbands.
  • Wallets with dangling chains.
  • Any paraphernalia that advertises suggestive sayings, drugs, or alcohol.
  • No hats or caps, beanies or ski caps may be worn indoors. An exception will be granted for head coverings worn as a result of genuinely held religious beliefs.
  • Any clothing suggesting gang affiliation (subject to administrators’ determination).
  • No leggings, sweatpants, or pajama pants.
  • No hoodies.


Non-Uniform Days:


Occasionally students may receive a non-uniform day. On those days the “unacceptable clothing and dress” listed above are still in effect. In addition, students may not wear pajama wear, tank tops, lox cut backless, or see-through shirts, or baggy or over-sized pants. Students may not wear items that are not in compliance with the district dress code policy (ex. Clothing that advertises suggestive sayings, drugs, or alcohol). 


** Any discrepancies in the dress code will be addressed at the discretion of the principal** 


**Students not in compliance with this uniform policy will be given the opportunity to correct the issue. Assistance from the office (previously donated uniforms) will be utilized** 


**Non-compliance of the dress code may result in disciplinary action**
